Welcome patients, split personalities and those little shadow people that wont leave me alone...

This is the holding ground / gallery type thing for our latest contest for Halloween 2005. This will be continuously updated as deviants from all over DA enter our contest and you patients get to vote for them! YAY!

The only rules are that it must have something to do with the best halloday of the year (halloween for the mentally slow) and it should be fairly evil. If you have any further questions send a note.

Like Dr. Dan announced, I am setting up a competition, and I think its time now to get it going. From now till the end of March (Cos I know you are busy), this competition will run:

Show the Doctors experimenting on you

Basically if you need to know what we look like, visit our pages, note us if you have trouble, and to make it more individual, show us experimenting on you in any way possible..... with the usual limitations.

Have fun, and I'll be back to give you lobotomy's later

Hey. The contest is over as of midnight tonight, (GMT) and i will announce the winner within the next day or two. It's actually been pretty close. Thankyou to everyone who has entered, it's nice to see some involvement into the asylum.

On unrelated Aslyum news, i was out the other night, got very drunk and many a funny thing happened. You can check them out on my Livejournal.

I'm guessing a lot of you have already heard of Tim Burton's latest creation? The Corpse's Bride is about a guy called Victor (played by Johnny Depp) who accidentally awakes a murdered woman and inadvertantly marries her or something along those lines. The design of it is somewhat familiar to that of A Nightmare Before Christmas and so looks to be a great watch...myep

Okay...new contest which was the idea of Dr. Munkyboy but he is bust so i'm updating.

We tend to have a common interest in that we both seem to have recurring zombie dreams...myep.

So the contest now for everyone to focus on until the end of May is...

"Create a scene in which zombie's are the key factor". This could be like us doctors as zombies, the asylum protecting itself from zombies...now this can be majorly fucked up if you want, i wanna see some majorly huge chunk fest pieces here...i mean, a zombie pic would be cool, but i notice the talent you guys have and i know you can make this "WOW" and show the rest of DeviantArt what they are missing out on by not being in the Asylum.

Depending on how many entries we get, the prize may be something along the lines of custom art from us doctors, each...or a subscription maybe? But it depends on the entries.

I've done one of these before and it led to the creation of the asylum, and i get like 19 entries by myself...including the work of :lorddubu:, possbly my favourite zombie artist...check out his gallery and bombard the guy with comments!!

Then get to work and show us some quality work guys!!

Rules & Things & Spleens For All...

_{The way we will be going about this is as follows...

Thing Uno: To join, send a note to either this page or to *JezebelsMarksman . You are more than likely to get a reply, but if all else fails, check the journal to see if your a patient.

Thing Two: To submit a piece, send another note with a link to your own work...We will copy the piece and resubmit it with your original description and a link back to your page. This is to coincide with the new DA rules which doesn't allow us to simply favourite every member's entry. Again, to submit, contact ~ TwistedNerveAsylum or *JezebelsMarksman with the header "Dear Dr. Dan..." (hehe).

Thing More Than Two Less Than 4: Not exactly -needed- to be done, but it would really help spread the word. Place our Icon or a link to our page either in your journal or signture.

Thing IV: Art can be of any nature, as long as its a bit messed up and kinda darkish. This can include humour and we'd like to have a laugh as well as being slightly scared of you.

Thing E: Competition's will be held, but the Doctors need to discuss it and at times, may post questions to the patient's asking what they'd like a theme of. Our favourites are zombies weirdly enough .

Hmm....I think that kind of sets all the Things up...but there may be more later on, but we'll deal with them as and when we know what they are.
